Place: Ottowa, Canada

Background Information: Svetlana Beriosova, Nicholas Polajenko in the Nutcracker performance with a local civic ballet company in Ottowa. Company under the artistc direction of Nesta Toumine. This was the first performance for the both of us as students from the ballet school of Madame Ludmila Schollar and Anatole Vilzak, New York City.

Svetalana was 14 and I was 16 years of age.

We also danced Les Sylphides with the company. Before the curtain opened, I remember being very nervous while I was on stage during the overture. As soon as the curtain opened and I was able to take my first step, the nervousness disapeared.

Place: Paris, France

Background Information: Rosella Hightower, Nicholas Polajenko in the Ballet "Sebastian", performance with the International Ballet of the Marquis de Ceuvas, at the Theatre des Champs Elysees.

This is the ballet where I was actually stabbed (accidentally) with an arrow during the performance.

Performance of: Music in My Heart Adelphi Theatre(10/2/1947 - 1/24/1948)

Background Information: Understudy to Principal dancer, of the show, Nicholas Magallanes.

Background Information: First performance with a local civic ballet company in Ottowa. During this same season we performed a ballet called Les Sylphides. Both ballets were danced by local civic ballet company members. The company was under the direction of Nesta Toumine.
